/ A bit more about me

The basics you should know about me are

People call me NK. That’s short for Nanda Kishore. I live in London, UK. I am a recent post-grad and also an enthusiastic software engineer. I develop mobile and web apps.

Recently, I developed a WordPress portfolio website for a Sports Therapist based in Leicester. In my placement year, I worked as an Intern at Enough (FKA StokBox), and continued to work as a Software Developer where I sharpened my web app development skills.

Back in India, I had the opportunity to serve as a Software Engineer for two Digital Banking projects with TEMENOS(FKA Kony Labs). While working there, I committed to mobile app development, which has been my speciality for two years.

I constantly seek out innovative solutions to everyday problems. In my three years in this industry, I’ve honed my analytical thinking and collaboration skills, and I love working with a team.

I love reading books and drawing. Self-help books intrigue me more. I do photography with my mobile and love capturing moments. I highly prefer tea over coffee.

/ My Motivation

What motivates me to come into work each day is

“Learning something new.” I’m motivated by the fact that each day delivers something fresh and new. I enjoy picking up new knowledge that I never would have expected to encounter or understand. Learning is my favourite aspect of a job.

Along with learning, I look for opportunities to contribute to significant projects that give me a sense of pride in my own work as well as my workplace as a whole. Although I also enjoy technology, this is about more than simply technology for me; it’s about discovering ways to be more efficient.

/ My Passion

Beyond work, I’m really passionate about

Photography!

I shoot because I see. I strongly agree that it is less what the eyes see, and more what the soul feels. Also, in a deeply personal way, I feel a photo is a poem about time, about “staying in the moment.”

/ My Collaboration

I add value to teams by

respecting other teammates and complying with their ideas. I pay attention to what others have to say and take into account how it will ultimately affect the team’s goal.

I am always prepared to go above and beyond. I am willing to work more and give my best to the success of the team.

/ My Personality

People often say I’m brilliant at

understanding others. When it comes to empathising with people, I find it very natural and easy. I have a great sense of other people’s emotions and can quickly imagine myself in their position. I recognise when someone is upset and want to do everything I can to help them. Probably this is because I am a Protagonist person.

These warm, forthright Protagonists love helping others, and they tend to have strong ideas and values. They back their perspective with the creative energy to achieve their goals.

/ My Mind

When I'm dealing with stress, I

turn on some music and take a walk. I take deep breaths and accept what I cannot change. I pay attention and stop the constant stream of jumbled ideas that can be stressing me out.

I sometimes connect with family and friends. Sharing my emotions with them is an excellent stress relief for me since it helps me cope with ups and downs and also provides a distraction.

/ Feedback

The best way to give me feedback is

Email is good for kicking off a wider discussion. I check my email very often. And I’d rather receive a text message. Please do not call unless you have received a calendar invite beforehand.
